Elongation δ refers to the indicators describing the plastic properties of materials - elongation δ and section shrinkage. The elongation is the percentage of the ratio of the total deformation ΔL of the gauge length section to the original gauge length L after the tensile fracture of the sample: δ=ΔL/L100 percent .
